A.   Case 18-047 is a request for a minor plat to create two lots from the Remainder of Lot 15 C, ASLS 92117, located north and east of the City of Saxman, Ketchikan Gateway Borough, filed by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Land Office on July 11, 2018.

CASE SUMMARY: The purpose of the plat is to subdivide a portion of the property for a land exchange with the U.S. Forest Service.

2.   PLAT ALTERATIONS
 
A.   Case 18-044 is a request for a minor plat to create two lots from Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 26, U.S. Survey 1229, Heath Addition, 2700 and 2724 Third Avenue, City of Ketchikan; filed by Mary Jo Turek on June 5, 2018.

CASE SUMMARY: The applicant owns three adjoining lots. Lots 1 and 3 are developed with residences. Lot 2 is undeveloped; however a portion of the house on Lot 1 encroaches onto Lot 2. The proposed plat will create two larger lots, eliminate the encroachment, and allow for additions to existing structures.

D.   Case 18-051 is a request for a plat alteration to create one lot from Lots 14B and 14C, Wildwood Subdivision, located at the terminus of Wildwood Court, Ketchikan Gateway Borough; filed by Adam and Sarah Thompson on August 10, 2018.

CASE SUMMARY: The applicants propose to consolidate two adjoining lots to allow construction of a residence near the middle of the subject area.

E.   Case 18-053is a request for a plat alteration to create one lot from Lot 85-A, U.S.Survey 2403 and a vacated portion of Power House Road, located at 24 Power House Road, Ketchikan Gateway Borough; filed by Andrew and Peggy Rauwolf on August 15, 2018.

CASE SUMMARY: An existing residence on Lot 85-A was built over the front lot line and encroached into the Power House Road right-of-way. The State of Alaska has vacated that portion of right-of-way and deeded the parcel to the applicants. The applicants seek to consolidate both parcels to create one lot that will encompass the residence.
