Case 18-059 is a request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow a detached accessory dwelling unit at 692 D-1 Loop Road; Lot 2 of the White Rock Estates Subdivision Phase 1, Ketchikan Gateway Borough.

CASE SUMMARY: The applicant intends to use the dwelling to house visiting family and friends, but may also use it as a rental.
 
Case 18-060 is a request for a Major Variance to allow the construction of a replacement deck to encroach into the side yard at 2326 First Avenue; Lot 4, Block 2, Heath Addition to U.S. Survey 1229, City of Ketchikan.

CASE SUMMARY: The applicant wishes to reconstruct and expand a deck providing access to the second story of her home. The proposed deck will be approximately 10 feet longer than the existing deck, but will not be any closer to the property line.
 
Case 18-063 is a request for a major variance to allow the construction of a boat shed to encroach into the required side yard at 392 Deep Bay; Lot 12, U.S. Survey 2817, Ketchikan Gateway Borough.

CASE SUMMARY: The applicants wish to construct a shed at the end of a boat haul out. The location of the haul out is dictated by substrate, access to deep water and slope.
